HDMI Female to Micro HDMI Male Adapter Cable 0.15 m for Portable Device to HDTV Connection

This compact HDMI adapter stub solves the practical need to connect portable electronics such as tablets, digital cameras, and smartphones to a standard HDMI-equipped HDTV. The 0.15-metre length keeps the connection tidy and reduces cable clutter, making it ideal for desk setups or entertainment centres. With a female standard HDMI port on one side and a male Micro HDMI connector on the other, this cable acts as a direct bridge between your Micro HDMI device and an existing HDMI cable or HDTV input. The black finish and lightweight 14 g design mean it can be stored or carried without adding bulk. Whether you are sharing holiday photos from a digital camera or displaying a presentation from a tablet, this adapter provides a straightforward physical link.

Features and Construction

The adapter is built around two clearly defined connector types and a fixed stub length, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of Micro HDMI devices and standard HDMI receptors. Its construction focuses on simplicity and reliable physical connection.

Material and Build

The cable uses a standard PVC jacket over the internal conductors, with moulded plastic connector housings on both ends. The female HDMI connector accepts a standard HDMI plug, while the male Micro HDMI connector fits into Micro HDMI ports on devices such as the Motorola XT720, HTC EVO, LG P990, and Acer A500. The overall weight of 14 g reflects the compact stub design.

Size and Practical Fit

At exactly 0.15 metres in length, this stub cable is designed to be used close to the device or as a short extension between a device and an existing HDMI cable. The short length minimises cable management issues and is particularly useful in portable or temporary setups where a long cable would be inconvenient.

Uses and Placement

The adapter is intended for scenarios where a portable device with a Micro HDMI output needs to be connected to a standard HDMI display. Typical placements include home entertainment centres, office presentation tables, and photography review stations.

Device Compatibility

Manufacturers state compatibility with tablets, digital cameras, digital video cameras, mobile phones, and MP4 players that use a Micro HDMI interface. Specific tested examples include a range of Motorola, HTC, and LG models, as well as the Acer A500 tablet. Users are advised to check their device's port shape to confirm it uses Micro HDMI (Type D) rather than Mini HDMI (Type C).

Everyday Home Use

At home, this adapter enables quick connection of a mobile phone or tablet to a living room HDTV for streaming video or sharing media stored on the device. The short 0.15-metre stub keeps the connection close to the TV input without trailing wires across the floor.

Benefits and Buying Value

The primary value of this adapter lies in its ability to fill a common connectivity gap with a minimal, low-cost accessory. It avoids the need to replace existing HDMI cables and works with many current portable devices.

Simplicity and Portability

Weighing only 14 g and measuring 0.15 m, the adapter can be kept in a camera bag, laptop case, or desk drawer without taking up space. Its black colouring matches most devices and cables, keeping setups visually neutral.

Why Choose This Product

For users who own a Micro HDMI device and a standard HDTV, this adapter offers a direct and tool-free connection method. It eliminates the guesswork of finding a compatible cable by combining both connector types in a single short stub. No additional adapters or converters are needed for the physical connection to work.
